ASP application runs slow on some machines but blazes on others

Originally posted by : arp (arp55@yahoo.com)

I have written a database application using ASP,
Oracle8i. It gives varying performance on different machines.
It runs extremely slow on a machine with 384MB ram, 32mb video ram, 22GB harddisk but runs very very fast on a machine with 64mb ram, 8 mb video ram, 13GB hard disk.
Its a stand alone application where, all components are on the same machine ie. personal web server, oracle 8i server.

What could the problem be ? Are there any parameters which can be tweaked ?

Please Help. Urgent.

Thanks in advance!
