Classic ASP Site debugging assistance needed
Hey guys,
I'm hoping somewhere out there can point me towards a company or consultant that can help me out. The situation: I run a classic ASP site on windows server 2003. We use an MS Access DB for our product listings and MS SQL Server 2005 for our orders and cart database. About two weeks ago our site just started going down. The timing was weird, in that I had been away and hadn't made any changes in about 4 days. Since it has started, it generally goes down once a day. When it goes down, there is an error in the system log saying 'process serving shearcomfort.com has timed out'. I've gone through code I had uploaded at the time, increased physical memory on the server, changed some settings, everything I can think of. Nothing seems to help. So now, I'm hoping there is someone/company out there that can come to our rescue. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Feel free to post to this thread or PM me directly. Thanks, Scott Carmichael |

what is shearcomfort.com? is this your website? because if it's not, most likely is that your website has been hacked and you're looking for the wrong solutions. |

Shadow, It's the website for the company I work for, sells seat covers online. If it had been hacked, what should I be looking for? |

no, if that's the website it's not hacked.
can't really think of anything, but I'm pretty sure the problem is not within the ASP code or even the website. I'll start with some questions:

Shadow, It's a dedicated server which I attempt to administer as best as I can. We run a few other sites on the server, nothing new has gone up in the last couple months though. If/when the problems occur, they are limited to the single site, affecting the application pool running that site. |

application pool has been taken down. hmm.. did you check all sections in the server event log? maybe something before that event you posted? |
