Workstation vs. Server

Originally posted by : Thomas Whalen (aspdev@dakota.net)
I have NT 4 Workstation. At this point I am not able to implement any functionality where the user can email me from my site, nor can I create links based on contents in a text file as easily as I could with the Content Linker component. Any help would be appreciated very much.

Should I consider buying NT Server so that I can have these extra features, or upgrading my system and buying Windows 2000 (i have heard about the bugs in Windows Server 2000) so that I can get the full effect of ASP 3.0 ????

Thank you in advance.

Really depends on what your planning on going to. If it was me i'd just upgrade to win2k server. This really depends on how much your willing spend. Before you do anything check out microsoft.com and they have several details on this.

------------
Thomas Whalen at 3/12/2000 12:37:57 PM

I have NT 4 Workstation.
