NO NHL SEASON...
I can't be the only hockey fan in here? I know I've seen some fellow Canadian around (they should be givens)

I still stick by what I have said since the beginning of the NHL lockout:
The stanley cup was not originally for the NHL champion, it began as a prize for the top hockey team in Canada.
If the NHL players are too busy worrying they won't have enough miilions for the summer home, ski chalet, and the boat when the retire, then the best teams (OHL,AHL,Junior A/B) should be allowed to compete in a major tournament for the cup. IMO

That just sucks...all this over $6.5 million!

The NHL doesn't have as big a fan base as the NFL or NBA. Once the strike is over I wouldn't be suprised to see the teams lose a considerable amount of their revenue because of the strike. Will fans remain loyal after it's over? Remember the baseball strike?
It took years for baseball to get the fans back to the stadiums.

I agree.
I think my home-town Toronto Maple leafs will have no problem getting back on their feet, and same with a few other Canadian and US teams. but lets face it, NFL is the US game of choice. Alot of US NHL teams that were struggling to find fans before, are going to have a hard time of it after the strike. I mean, who can't sell out a stanley cup final game? *cough* tampa bay

My question is why do places like Florida (2 teams) and Arizona even have hockey teams???
I seriously doubt Ice Skating or Hockey is a big sport in "Tropical" climates!
