I need to develop a solution for a company so they can send out 200,000 emails per month or bi monthly. This isn't spam. All of the email addresses are opt in. I looked at services of Lyris and other services but they are very expense. I am thinking that installing an SMTP server at their office will do the trick. They have a T1 line at the office. Does anyone have any experience with this and sending out this many emails.
Thanks for the help. |
Where I used to work last year we used outlook to publi-post via email
it send 1 separate mail to each recipient and you can personalize the mail with info(name mail etc)
the downside is that the process is very slow (1 mail evry 0.5 seconds max [more if the mail have a large size]) and the company ISP (mail provider) sometime used to block mail sending when too many mail have been sent in less than x minutes ...
otherwise outlook/word is an easy to use tool
