Bit of a late tuppence-worth; not for or against the new system but it's confusing the hell out of me!

I used to beable to look at them and tell who was who on a post (For some reason I never use the avatars for this) at a glance.

Now this just baffles me!

Up until this point I have held my toungue, unfortunately after reading some rep comments and posts this is not an option, hence the following rant.

In my humble opinion, if their is such a thing, the last 72 hours stink. The whole situation could have been avoided with a simple pre-post warning outlining the up and coming events. This would have PREPARED some of our community members for the worst.

However, all we got was flashes of what was to become and then suddenly, KABAMMM like a lightning strike the changes were in place.

The annoying factor after the event was the so-called petulance of some MOD members. They in their dutiful, distinguished selfs then brayed like a pack of unruly schoolchildren on certain individuals who held penance with the removal of accredited belts before the current format.

I find then and still do find their approach, under the said circumstances, annoying, unharmonic and downright childish.

THEY are the ones who should be banished from the forum, stripped of their so-called overseer status and given a good slap -in-the-prosterior for their unscrupilous behaviour.

For if it was not for the generally good advice from the contributors in this forum then their would be no ASP FREE (your having a laugh) FORUM, and I know that 90% plus of these members did not think that the abolishment of the aforesaid belts a bad thing. They liked the camp medal system just fine, MYSELF included.

In the dust of this matter I have been pretty civil as this whole situation broke out, of course I am going to defend my mucker in question, but as for the weasel like comments and the negative points towards his reputation this I cannot stomach.

Shadow, I acknowledge that you have tried to be peacekeeper in the whole of this, yet my inclnation tells me you had previous knowledge to this. If so then speak and do tell, if not then my presumption is wrong and I apoligise in advance.

I most certainly do not wish to leave this forum, as I find it an awe-inspiring source for knowledge, nor do I wish to make enemies (although the bridges I have tried to build, have again been washed away by the behaviour of certain Mods). Although I will say this - in my business, if we plan to make a change then we inform our customers in advance, we do not just install it upon them and then abuse those who have problems with it).

Please take head, we are proffesional people after all.

Nope, I found out about it in the same time like all other members.

For what it's worth, the admins did not consult with the moderators of aspfree - and
I'm not saying that as angry comment, just for your information and so that you won't
feel so bad...

Being part of any forum, one has to keep in mind some simpe facts:
1. Admins usually means owners of the forum. They are like gods and they
decide about changes for good or for bad. Believe me, they want only the best for
the forums as they're the ones making money from this...
2. Moderators exists to aid and help the admins by keeping the order and peace
in the forums i.e. keeping spammers away and cooling flames down.

The above means the admins have full rights to perform any change they want, and
they don't have to consult with anyone before doing that - not even the moderating
team. This must be accepted in order to be part of any forum.

Any action toward trying to force the admins into something is pointless. Like you
can't force your parents to consult you before making changes in the house, you
can't force the forum owners to consult you before making changes in the forum.

Paul, we've walked long way since your wings had been cut, don't let something
like this cut your wings for good.

Maybe Chief (he's the "certain Mods" no point in keeping it below the surface) was
wrong to take reputation away. I won't and can't judge him, and they have to solve
this between them - they already did that. No point sticking to that.

So we consult in a dictorial facade with the Admins pulling the shots and everyone just saying 'YAAH' that's good for us, bollox Shadow. Were all grown ups in here and if they can't consult but dictate the rules of how we communicate then we're on a a slippery slope my friend.



Then as before I'm sorry to have tarnished your good self with the underhand perfomances of your so-called superiors( ahem, in name only).



Ach well Shadow what will be, will be, I just cannot stand another member being mocked and if that is the case then, in all honesty I'd rather not be a part of a fascist community.
