Distribution Management software for paper publications?

I was thinking of putting up somekind of Distribution Management software for the site I am working at.. but I cannot seem to find any freeware versions of this kind of thing.

I am merely looking for a method of having people subscribe online for a magazine, and Mail in their Check for the publication (basically , just a way of managing subscriptions online, which doesn't need any e-commerce site).

The other issue is that I am looking for something web based (meaning only in asp or php (not asp.net)). The servers are all windows so campsite won't work.

Any advice?

is the magazine read online or sent to them via mail? There are several ASP apps out there that allow users to login and view protected pages after renewing their subscription. This very site you posted on, utilizing VBulletin, also has subscription features.

Its a physical publications (sent through mail). The issue is that I do not control the servers (there not linux). All I have available is mysql databases, asp (not asp.net) and php.

campsite I believe requires installation through linux (java, tomcat, etc).
