Flaming hell!

Ok so I finally signed up to dev shed, and got totally flamed on my intro post! Sure it was a little brief so I told them I was from here and they told me to ask here about the "Secret door" to dev shed....

So whats the deal, give me the goss...

I have no idea what the "Secret door" is other than being a complete @$$hole. That's the kind of atmosphere I felt while I was there. However, there are better qualified people here that can explain it to you as they are moderators both here and there.

Ahh, looks like I was targeted by their resident antagonist, think ill stick with asp free, friendlier here! Only really signed up to correct a thread I was reading...

All i can say is ,.. what a stupid a$$ hole,.. how on earth anyone can give -392 de rep points on a first post "in the Introduce Yourself thread" is beyond me.

I was unaware you needed to pass some sort of screening process to join in a thread with such "brilliant" minds.

This is obvious abuse of a rep system that doesn't work.

Oh well,.

There are better forums out there trust me.

It's not exactly hard to get a top 5 posters badge - all you have
to do is spam the forums a bit until you've got enough posts - I
see it happen all the time. It happens here as well - it's not just
something at Dev Shed.

If you actually knew the details of the banning, you might be a
little less hasty to criticise. The user was given a temporary [3
day] ban for various offences, and the proceeded to register 5
or 6 new accounts in violation of the terms of his ban. That's
why his account and all the new ones are banned.

It's funny how people over here say such condescending things
as that all the time, and yet are so happy to throw themselves
onto the bandwagon of abuse when something happens at DS.
Sad, really. :/

disagreeing with you, and you can more than make up for it with
1 person agreeing with you. Again, the thread that was posted
in was a serious discussion about job opportunities that GameYin
took off topic to bitch about rep.

@Dr_Rock - you may have better luck taking up complaints with the administrators. If anyone can do anything about it, it would be them.
