Flash Player 9
So anyone else get Flash Player 9 yet? I upgraded yesterday and it won't work in IE7. Works fine in FireFox, of course, but in IE7 I get the "WSOD" (White Screen of Death) and it says "Movie Not Loaded" when I right-click on the movie.
Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? I can't find anything even at the Adobe site. I also tried getting a previous version with no luck. I can't even repair IE7 or remove it either; no uninstall option.... ![]()

I hate to say it buddy, but you might need to restore to a point before you installed it. Sounds like IE7 got corrupted maybe? Since it is part of the OS....

I tried, but there isn't an uninstaller available for some reason. I looked up a few solutions to uninstall it, but no luck as of yet. I'm going to continue looking because I watch a lot of flash videos and I need this stupid thing to work ![]() Cheers |

Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs --> Add/Remove Windows Components -->
uncheck Internet Explorer --> Next --> ... won't it work for you? if not, what exactly is happening? didn't do that myself yet but people I know say this work fine. you can also post about it (removing IE7) in the Windows OS forum. ![]() |

That doesn't actually uninstall it. From what I've seen, it just removes it from the desktop. After doing that, I can go to Start -> Run, type in iexplore.exe and Internet Explorer still fires up. It seems for some reason I am missing a file. So if anyone can tell me where to find spuninst.exe that might be helpful. EDIT************ Correction...I guess it needs to be a specific spuninst.exe file. M$ uses the same filename for the service packs. I need the one located here: %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe Last edited by jmurrayhead : May 13th, 2007 at 10:27 AM. |
