If your web browser is set to access the internet through direct internet connection, then it shouldn't have a problem accessing (it downloaded a WU, didn't it?). If you go through a proxy, then you can program the console to use the proxy-- address and port, with or without username and password. The only issues I've had is my firewall proxy not allowing certain Stanford IPs, and I've added those to my exception list and it works hunky-dory.

Cheers for the advice Dngrsone, I have'nt seen a pop-up box appear at any time -- that's not to say that one did not appear -- so can I reset this setting and if so where would I look to find it? Would it be easier for me to just uninstall and reinstall again this time setting the "ask before sending results:" to no.

Paul, if you are running as a service, then first you'll want to go to Administrative Tools, Services and stop the F@H service.

Then run the console with the switch -config

This is easily accomplished through the run dialog (ex: C:\Programs\FoldatHome\FAH504-Console.exe -config)

The first few questions should default to your user name and team number and such, then change the answer to the "Ask before sending results" to no.

When you answer all the config questions to your satisfaction, and it starts to actually fold, you can kill the window and (if you were running as a service already) restart the service.

Dngrsone, Shadow, it worked. Although I found my config settings in the client.cfg file and like you said I set the "Ask before sending results" to no.

My finished WU has been recieved and I am now working on a new one:

hey something weird is happening... at my home computer I noticed F@H takes only
50% of the CPU usage... as far as I know I do not have HT but I might be wrong -
I'm not so good at hardware - how can I check for HT and if I really don't have, what
can cause F@H to work only at half speed? I also think it used to work on 100% in
the beginning but not sure about it. on the other 2 machines it works on 100% all
the time.

Edit: ok, I do have Hyper Threading at home and that's the
reason it works on 50% only.
