that's weird lewy - can you attach your log file? make sure the core is running
by checking the Task Manager processes list.

Okay got a new box a couple of days ago and installed F@H on it, now the CPU wis running at only 50%, I know beacuse of Shadow's previous thread that this is down to Hyper Threading, but how can I check to make sure? What is Hyper Threading to us less-than hardware enthusiasts? And does it really make that much of a difference to the time a WU is completed if a processor is working at 50% on a HT thread or maxed out at 100% as it was in my previous box?

Basically, HT fools the system into thinking there are two processors.
F@H is a single processor app therefore it will only take half the processor. I guess that you could get a second one running by modifying the advanced config options. But I haven't bothered. All mine run at 50%
