different kind of hardware. buying an equivalent PC costs more than a mac but you can build a really cheap PC. You do get what you pay for though

true but you can start with a cheap pc and then gradually make it better as you have time but the OS will always work!! An advantage over Mac. But i really am not against Macs! I would really love one

iPods are a little more friendly with the Mac which makes sense. You can do some extra things. You can put linux on an ipod!

Linux is ok for programming and servers but other than that i don't really see a use for it yet. It has potential and a lot of it but it needs to support more applicaitons. Or more applications need to support it!

I share that opinion. I like that it's free but it's not useful enough as a desktop yet.

yeah if your gmail addy is xyz@gmail.com then your username is xyz for google talk. Then your password is the same for both!

You started using it then?
