On another note, I'm looking for a place to practice drums. I played for roughly nine years in through high school and into college (finishing out after leaving the Pep Band which had given me a full scholarship for the first year of college). I had sold my drum set when leaving for college (went to Hawaii and hoped to never return :-). Anyway, 6 years later, I greatly miss my drums. I can afford to get a set but I'm struggling to find somewhere to set them up. I have been told some self-storage places will allow musicians to set up, but have been unsuccessful after calling about 10 of them. I would prefer a private or semi-private spot, but am at a loss at this point. Having grown up in the country where land and space is cheap, I don't know what people in cities or suburbia do to practice.
Does anyone have any advice? Know of any places in the Montgomery County area where I could practice?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Welcome to the forum. I am not a drummer, but how do you feel about an electronic kit such as Roland's V-Drums? Other than that I don't know of any places in Montgomery County. I really like the sound and feel of accoustic drums, though, but sometimes our neigbors don't share our enthusiasm for loud music . I've been meaning to pay a visit to McLean Bible. How are things over there?
