As this site is new, the form is kind of confusing. We should have just replied to the post by Cdrummer under "Christian Musicians". I live in Woodbridge, VA, but if you want to get together and jam let me know. Maybe once we get the forum for this site fixed, we'll see some real potential. Do you happen to belong to the Gospel Musicians group on Yahoo? I 'm the one who sent word of this site. Hopefuly it will be a tool used by God to promote fellowship among all of His musicians.

I play guitar and bass. I'm more of a guitarist who plays some bass. I don't have a band yet, but I am looking to find people to jam with and maybe start a band eventually or work on some projects. What kind of music do you like? I'm into pretty much everything. Between me and my wife, we've got Christian music from all four corners of the world! Of course with so many cd's it's hard to find time to sit down and listen! But some of my favorites are:
Hezekiah Walker & LFC Fred Hammond & RFC Kirk Franklin dcTalk Anointed Steven Curtis Chapman Natalie Grant Yolanda Adams Crystal Lewis Trinity5-7 John P. Kee Jars of Clay FFH ...and many more. It's a pretty diverse list, but I like to learn about other styles of music and apply it to how I play. |

I'm getting ready to go home and enjoy the weekend. Maybe the kids will let me practice a little bit. I used to be a member of the Way of the Cross Church and a few years ago we were going to buy the Riverdal Baptist Church's building. To make a long and interesting story short, it didn't work out. Have a nice weekend and if I don't get in touch with you before the holiday, have a safe and merry Christmas.

I am working toningt on my birth day. It all started 33 years ago on an Island called Trinidad. Well I've heard of McLean Bible Church and I've been meaning to go for a visit. Maybe this Sunday I'll get the wife and kids packed up and we'll go.

Happy New Year. How are things? I've been pretty busy lately, it's hard to find time to practice. How is school coming along?

Hi all,
I attend Mclean Bible Church and think it's great. Frontline (Sunday nights - 5:30) has great worship music and the head pastor (Lon Solomon) and Frontline pastor (Ken Baugh) do a great job delivering practical messages and addressing relevant issues of the day. On another note, I'm looking for a place to practice drums. I played for roughly nine years in through high school and into college (finishing out after leaving the Pep Band which had given me a full scholarship for the first year of college). I had sold my drum set when leaving for college (went to Hawaii and hoped to never return :-). Anyway, 6 years later, I greatly miss my drums. I can afford to get a set but I'm struggling to find somewhere to set them up. I have been told some self-storage places will allow musicians to set up, but have been unsuccessful after calling about 10 of them. I would prefer a private or semi-private spot, but am at a loss at this point. Having grown up in the country where land and space is cheap, I don't know what people in cities or suburbia do to practice. Does anyone have any advice? Know of any places in the Montgomery County area where I could practice? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris |
