Help any1? Cannot access asp sites thru LAN

Hi all,

I have a local area network between a laptop and a desktop, both using winXP. The laptop is the gateway and there are no routers involved. Having setup the connection, I realise that my desktop cannot access .asp sites. It seems that there is no problem with other sites. Could any kind soul please help? Thanks a million!
