Wink Help needed with my farewell note

Hie,

I'll be resigning from my current job for a better oppportunity and I need some help with my farewell-cum-thankyou note here.. This is the best that I can do, but I think my third paragraph (in bold letters) would need some extra help..

Do give me your reviews and help give some ideas on how I can make improvements to it..

Thanks a lot!

Here it is:

==============================================

Dear friends,

The time has come for me to move on and I would like to thank all of you for your continuous support to me throughout my time here in this department. Your friendship is very much cherished.

In one way or another, I've learned a lot from everyone of you during my time here. Thank you very much for the generous opportunity of working with you and learning from you. I truly appreciate all of your advice and guidance in my work here in this company.

Finally, allow me to sincerely apologize if I have unintentionally offended anyone here during my course of service in this company. I am very sorry if any of my actions may have upset anyone of you.

I wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and a continued success for the company.

==============================================

Moving on to better things are the easiest to do, but sometimes saying thanks to those who helped you at your old job is a LOT harder:
Here's the way I would have written it. Hope you like it.

About the part about offending anyone, nah just leave it out as you want to leave on a good note like shown above.

hope this helps

Hey lewy,

Thanks for the help.. Appreciate it a lot..

You're right, it seems to be the hardest to fully thank those who have been of great help in the old company..

Will probably leave out the third paragraph as well.. Kinda makes me feel uneasy..

Once again, thanks!

Why not write an email to each individual, point out exactly what you appreciated about them. Then if you want to apologize for offending someone, do it in person and not in an email.

I have left a few jobs on very good terms, and basically just went out to lunch with the people I enjoyed in my department.

Good luck with your next adventure!

I wouldn't try to put anything into a letter other than the date I was leaving. I'd tell any feelings to people in person. Most companies will give you an exit interview where you can give any reasons for leaving.

And if your current boss gives you a pack of matches, don't use them to burn any bridges

Hey guys..

Thankies for all your help.. Really appreciate all of your views..
I guess I've found the right forum to get help on this..

About the apology thingy, as far as I can remember, there has been no conflicts or any offending actions whatsoever between me and my other colleagues..
I just thought of writing that out of courtesy..

Yeah, I've actually gone for an exit interview last week.. Will be leaving by the end of this month..

Kinda feel anxious for facing the new job and its new challenges.. It's really a bit more different than my current job right now..

~ Hope everything turns out well later!
