Help us out ASP Free members!
Hey everyone,
Paul, aka pws1970, has suggested we have a SEO forum here at ASP Free. The admins have considered it and want us to come up with a name and description for the new forum. We have a couple possibilities but need more input. Take a look here and participate with us! ![]() ![]()

Why, when part of the devshed family is an entire site devoted to SEO? There have been very few seo questions here (that I recall), and the existing SEO site would be a far, far better source of correct answers to such questions.

Because we could bring it here and promote that kind of activity. Just because there is one, doesn't mean there can't be another.

I agree with you on that Doug but I have to say that the level of questions being answered within ASPFree will be at a more basic to intermediate level, enough to give members the benefits of creating Search Engine friendly websites and also help rank their sites a lot better. The more understanding on this subject the better and the whole community will also reap the rewards. We could get some of the big players over at SEOChat to even contribute with some articles. I'm sure these guys would like the extra exposure that this would bring. Paul |

Great point Paul. Another point to make has to do with members like me. I don't travel over to many different forums regularly. I've been quite happy at ASP Free as it is kind of like a one-stop forum where I can get most of the answers I need. I don't know much of anything about SEO and having that here would be a great benefit to members like me. I see where you are coming from, Doug and you made a very valid point, though I still think it's a great idea to bring to ASP Free. Jason |

I think splitting information sites is a losing proposition for everyone, devshed included. You get less accurate information and also you dilute the expertise of specialized sites like aspfree.com and seochat.com. If you want to make new forums here, I'd start with making a separate asp.NET forum. IMHO there is nowhere near enough seo-related activity to warrant a separate forum here for that subject.
But if such a forum is created here, it will just be another on my list of un-visited forums, and if I have a seo question I'll post it at seochat where I believe I'd receive the best information. $0000000000000000000000.02 |
