How I got here....

Like most, a few years ago I got into ASP forums because I needed help. Most frequently ASP101. I liked their forum, simple and straight forward. After a while I realized I actually knew enough to start answering other peoples questions (hope I did not lead them astray ). About the time I decided to be a regular and try and post often to learn and share more, ASP101 moved their forum over to 4guys. I tried that for a couple of weeks and found it mostly monopolized by one person who was rather rude and arrogant (hope he is not here ). At the same time I ran across ASPFree and haven't gone anywhere since.

I recognize a few of the people here as posting at ASP101 as well. I have been trying to male it a point of getting in here everyday to post as well as check out the other areas of the site.

There are more resources here than I can shake a stick at (cyber stick that is) and the people are great!! It's a nice place to hangout.

If you use FireFox check out the Smiley Project. It is an extension for Firefox that lets you add smileys to forums, e-mails, etc... A little fun in life.

hey I was in asp101 in the years 2000-2004 and was really active there... when I
last counted, I had 11000 posts in there.
once they changed the forum in August 2004 I moved here following someone
from asp101, and here I am.

and it wouldn't be the same without you shadow !

When I first came here I thought that you were you. There was a person who also posted a lot called Wolverine. Any idea where he/she ended up?

yep I remember Wolverine... no idea where he is although I did search for a while.
but we do have another asp101 regular here, and one of the best: dwarf.

I was an ASP 101'er as well. I didn't stay too long though because
they changed to those aspmessageboard things - and the attitude
of some of the regulars sucked.

I Did a google search for hidden form manipulation. heh, ethically of course. And I also think i'm going to like it here because of all the information this place has to offer.

There is this hot crazy lady that told me to come here to find help with asp.net stuff. She is here all the time and it looks like she posts here quite a bit.

It's been so long I can't remember. I think I was just learning ASP and did a search on Google...This forum seemed really helpful....And having spent quite a lot of time in here now it's great to be able to lend a helping hand to those who were in the same position I was in...

Quite often the answer is already in the forum...Don't forget the search facility...
