I honesty don't remember what Google search word I used. I think it might have been something like asp help or something, but thats when I was working on my own asp help site. Which was in 2003 and I still have nothing, haha.

I was looking for some free forum software over on google. I typed in "asp free forum", wandered in for a look around and haven't found my way back out yet....

Elija, what other forums you visit regulary or used to visit? your nick is very familiar, I can't remember from where though. does MRF or TDF ring any bell for you?
anyway, I hope you'll stick here and won't find your way back!

I used to visit the asp101 forums on a regular basis (I seem to remember a Shadow Wizard there, who blinked out at some point), but gave up when they started to get less n00b friendly.

There is only so many times you can watch a n00b get flamed because (horror of horrors) they asked a question that had been asked before. As a dragon I consider it a waste of flame as a programmer I consider it unnecessary and counter productive.

I don't think I'll be trying to hard to find my way out as long as these forums retain their current spirit.

I was in asp101 in the years 2001-2004 so it make sense I remember you from there. I left in September 2004 (right before coming here) because they changed the whole design, moved the forums to be part of internet.com, made the forums unviewable for Firefox and most fatal put ads all over the page. they actually killed the forums, but probably it was for the best. it's like killing suffering animal.

They are part of aspmessageboard.com now. A horrible design of forum

I won't even give it "horrible"... in my opinion that collection of web pages is not defined as "forums" anymore. best I can describe it is ugly bunch of horribly designed pages with some content. 6 y/o kid can do better, alone, in couple of hours and sadly enough, I'm not very cynical.

That's why I like them. I have never found it any where else.

those forums didn't even have moderators. and I'm very upset with internet.com for killing those once-great forums instead of improving and fitting them to the modern internet so I don't care to say what I really think.

I did find... but only at Discussion forums, not programming forums.
