How much should I charge?

I've been thinking about offering my services to fellow college students for typing their papers that they themselves have already hand written.

I'm trying to come up with a price plan for this

Should I charge by the page, by character, etc??

Any ideas guys?

I once did such a service, and I charged by the page.
About the actual price... it's hard to tell.

i've seen a couple of people that charge by page... normally when u ask people how long their reports are, they'll tell u in pages as oppose to characters, either that or a word count if its dissertations... but if doing it by page u need to figure out if it's the no. of pages u type or the no of pages given.... have fun.... infact u know i might take the same idea and do that here....

In greece that charged 1,5-2 euro a page.. easy money..

Would $15-$25 a page be too much?

I think this is an overkill...

what DR said is very reasonable limit, suppose $1.5 for page, or $15 for 10 pages - easy money for less than hour of work.

I'd say $2 a page.

I'd say vary it between $1.50 to $3/page depending on how legible the handwriting is

well..
100 pages*$15=$1500
or
100 pages*$25=$2500
I can buy a PC, a printer(to print my paper) and the dress I
always wanted with that money and write it on my own
(and then I can keep and the PC, the printer and the dress of course!)

100 pages for school work?! I'm talking maybe essays that have to be 10 pages long..
Maybe I should just do a base fee of $10 for up to 2 pages then $3 for every page after that.

If you ask me, I wouldn't give $100 for 10 pages..

it would be $20 for the first 2 pages plus $24 for the rest 8.... total of $44 - still quite much but at least reasonable. considering how desperate the student is, you might get it.

I wouldn't give so much money for something I can do with much less money!
But, as Memnoch says, that's just me
