How to Start an Internet Group and Get It Going
On October 9, 1998, I started my first group with a group service called onelist. Onelist later sold out to e-groups, and e-groups eventually sold out to yahoogroups.

I started the first group with very little knowledge or experience, because groups were very new, at the time. It was more of an experiment, with no long-range goals in site.

No worries mate. I wasn't being rude at that moment. I think most of us here are open-minded and intellectual, as we come from across the globe and bring to this forum, tons of knowledge and experience. Maybe it should be said in your thread when you started it? Maybe you should have read through the rules of posting a thread on this forum (General Forum Rules - Read Before Posting! --look for it on the main page on this forum, under ASP in case you were wondering)? You tell me. In any case, it wasn't clear or concise to the point.

I guess we're little suspicious toward newbies in the beginning.
when someone come and introduce himself we're getting to know him
slowly but we can't possibly know and trust someone right from
the beginning.
so why won't we start new page, you're welcome to post in the
"How Did You Get Here" thread for start... and you also have the
Picture Gallery if you're really into it...

anyhow.... your point in this thread is that you're the founder
of Yahoo Groups, in some manner?
