I'm leaving this forum

As my last act on this forum I have permanently banned 1337_d00d.
I'm tired of his constant argumentative behavior, I think he's a know if all asshole and I'm tired of dealing with him and other nutridders on this forum who think he is god.

I no longer want to be a moderator nor a member of this forum..

It started out as fun (1.5 years ago), now dealing with know it all assholes has turned it sour.

are just around to learn or help or whatever, granted, some [like
1337_d00d] are, but most aren't.

I think most of the other members here will agree with me that you
shouldn't abandon ship cos of a couple of pricks; I haven't been a
member of aspfree for very long, but it's clear you leaving will be a
big loss to the community...

Call me argumentative all you want, but when someone is wrong is it not acceptable to inform them of their mistakes?

Sorry if they seem "argumentative", you'll notice that I've toned down my behaviour drastically recently.

Besides, what makes you think you have the right to refer to me as an "ásshole" and get away with it? Your tone in this thread, blaming everything on me, makes you seem the more ásshole than me.

Seriously though, I have had an issue with l33t_dude in the past where he gave me a negative rep point for the sole reason that I suggested a newcomer some code that had nothing to do with layout using a table layout. I must admit though, he is correct, he's toned it down quite a bit though. I'm not so sure I like the idea of him being cocky and "Web Standars Man," but I don't think the acts of one person should effect you so greatly. You're knowledge is far too valuable to these forums for you to back away. We all need you.

I could think of a lot of responses as i have followed the many complaints....but you have proven that you will think what you want.

and the more I have looked into your posts and read your response here... I think I will just stop here before I get fired up to.





Memnoch, I like many others, would like to see you stay and to continue to truly help others preform the tasks in front of them. You will be missed.

Hey Memnoch, if you leave, it will be a GREAT loss for this forum, you have given us all help in coding, and I think you should stick around, please!

As for the Dude, I think he has great knowledge about web standards, and we all can learn a few things from him.

Please guys, you are both valuable members and each have their own knowledge to bring to the table.

One man cannot be allowed to create loss to so many like me who seek knowledge from the likes of u.

And also u cannot solve the problem by leaving it.

sometimes changes are good, but not such changes... I can't really see those forums without Memnoch. it would be like ocean without fish - Memnoch became integral part of this place and I fear to imagine how it would be without him...
my opinion on this ordeal - personal issue that should have been dealt in private got out of control, and it's great loss for all of us - both Memnoch and the Dude. it's like when one parent kill the other and their children stay alone - one parent is dead the other in jail. it's the worst case, and I can only hope that somehow it would be solved.

Memnoch, I hope you can stay and continue to help here in the forums.
You've always talked about not letting others flame you up and taking positive criticism.
It would really be sad to see the forum without one of its best Moderators.

I haven't been much of an active member on these forums, but I have to say that we really need you here Memnoch. Nearly every time I asked a question or have done a search, you've been the one that has the answer. It will be a great loss to have you go.

As for l337_dood, I haven't had much problem with him. I've noticed he can be quite harsh when reviewing other people's code, but you have to accept people as they are. Both you and l337_dood are far too valuable to this forum. I'm sure there may be other reasons involved as to why you are leaving. I've seen it in other forums, too, where a highly respected member or mod disappears for a while. Usually it's because they've been burned out helping all the newbies, only to see the same questions asked again the next day.

Hopefully you decide to return to us after a while.
