Page 10 - I was banned again at DevShed

The guidelines are simple, yes, and we (most of us) get it, understand, and even support it. The only thing we're afraid of now is how the a select few mods (not you) will choose to interpret and enforce those rules.

ummm.. its been a lot of posts since my last one .. and as i read through this whole thread there were soo many posts i wanted to comment on. But that would be pointless because we all want this end right. I'm off to the windows forum here on ASPfree where i can contribute the little i know. But before i leave, may i just ask that all those here who have been at devshed, or have "not the best" opinions about devshed and its mods, and lounge policies to please stop by the lounge over the next month or so and tell me how you guys find the lounge. To be honest i wish time would past faster for only over time can the true effect of these changes be seen.

I like jimmy, mourn the loss of friendship, and happiness that seemed to pervade the lounge before. I believe it will grow back again. And at the same time i also believe the stuff that the mods felt was not right for the community will not resurface.

Its like Malcolm glazer and Manchester united .. give him time at the club and then rate him on the results and not jump the gun.

Can you please give the lounge time. Go post there... be yourselves.. most of you if not all are good folk and people we want in the community there. what we dont want are self ceneterd people with ridiculous threads and no help to offer anyone on the forums.

As for who decides what is common sense and what stays and what should not, well that power rests with the mods of course. Someone has to decide.. and if Jonathan Caputo owner of Devshed (and AspFree) has seen it fit to place his trust in the mods of devshed, then i see no need for anyone to complain about that judgement. If you dont agree with it, then i for one can respect your decision to leave.

@Chief: dude you have a lot of patience with everyone. My hearty appreciation for the time you have spent with this thread.

@B-Con: we do question seps actions, but we do it nicely and in private. What ever his opinions, he has taken no action against any of the members. this i can vouch for. As far as i know.. he personaly did not ban or warn anyone as a result of their lounge posts or actions

@Shadow Wizard: too bad devshed left such a bad taste with you. But at least those of us who are members of ASPfree can chat with you here Stay safe during your service to your country

@jimmy: i wish you would post again in the lounge. People like you made the lounge a great place to be... i dont think you have ever broken the rules of the lounge and to be honest i dont think anyones banning anybody for violating rules, rather i think the lounge mods are going to just close or delete and maybe warn a few posts that do go against the rules. Its edwin and computer and codergeek in there who are gentle lil *****cats ...they'll make sure everything is modded fairly there.. surely you know this.

@Everyone else: i think i have ended up saying too much here anyways.. everybody lets move on to lighter topics.. may i request the mods close this thread its seems everyone has had a chane to post their opinions..even me ?

Cyber, with the exception of xbot, who doesn't seem to know what
he's doing as a mod, we all discuss everything before taking action
with regards a member [obviously I'm not including Hirsch's outburst
in this ], so no-matter how we as mods individually interpret the
guidelines, any action we take will be the result of a descision made
by many of us, which, I really think couldn't be fairer...

As Becks said, please return to the Lounge, be yourselves, it is not
you people who are in any danger of having posts removed/threads
locked, so please, as you were...

I take it you mean your home as being DevShed and not your actual home??? I'm pretty sure my assumption is correct but needed to ask the question I'm afraid.
