Ideas about a RSS search using asp and xml?

hi there

just wanted peoples opioions i am doing a university project about rss xml and asp (not dot net).
I have been told i need to create a function that so that i could search some rss feeds for say certain keywords.

How feasabile is this and how hard for a novice to get started. Where would be best place to start. My knowledge of asp is very basic indeed.

Any ideas or thoughts would be most helpful.
