Personally, I'm partial to the Apple Powerbook...of course it depends on what you're going to be using it for. The Apple platform in general, in my opinion, is the best there is. That being said, the Thinkpad and Dell options are definitely good options. Personally, I only use a windows based system unless I have to (it turns out I have to use windows in order to make a living). At any rate, it probably comes down to what you're going to use it for...and how much you're willing to spend.

I like my desktop. I need portable power so I can lug it around and call it my "texas sized laptop" Then I'd be the coolest kid on the block. I was thinkikng a car battery, what y'all think?

i wouldn't mind a mac...just can't afford one! plus i need a windows system to test on so if i get a mac it will be a mini
