Hello Everyone,
I need some help. I am writing a search engine and I was wondering what Internet Copyright Law has to say about it. How much content are you allowed to use? Can you use any amount you want as long as you have a link? Thanks For Any Help, d007petersen |

intelectual property is automaticly (c) to the owner and remain so 25 years after his death.(Where I live - but I think the law is the same or very similar in the U.S)
If you want to use content from another person you have to correctly mention that this is not your property Same thing apply to code. note : I sugest moving this post to the lounge

well, google store the whole internet in its databases and I doubt if they pay all the website owners all over the world... as long as you clearly state those search results are not yours and you're not responsible for the contents and all the legal stuff you should be ok... for example here is how google cover their bases regarding Privacy: http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/privacy.html and you might find this even more useful: http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/terms_of_service.html |
