Mapping an ASP site

Hi guys,

I am migrating my (1000+files) site from Access to Oracle as the data expanded and security issues and policies at the college where I work changed...

So, as you must know, changes to most of the SQL statements across the site must be made, naming conventions in Oracle are better to be followed etc....

What I am actually looking for is a way to map my site, and see if I can "Silo" an break it into sub sites, or on the other hand, group some "Silos" to use common resources or reusable code...

No mapping software (Free that is) can map into ASP code with all the "Response.redirect" and #includes Call procedure etc....

So does anyone faced such a problem before, and can suggest mapping software or another insight on how to proceed untangle this big ball of yarn that is my site???

Thanks a lot.

Einy...

I've done this before...it was a big pain. However, I took it as an opportunity to rewrite the application and update it. It took a lot of time, but it runs much better afterwards.

I know... It is indeed a pain, and I do intend to rewrite many of the codes, but not the whole 1000 files.

I know a lot of the code can be reused if ordered in a correct manner, but I just don't know where to start!! I cannot know which file depends on which without opening and reading the code... and this is quite impossible to do with that many files!

And what is worse is that I don't have much time. Everything must me up and running in time for next semester

Anyway... Thanks for the quick reply.

Einy.
