nice buttons on asp/asp,net websites.

Hey all,

Something i have noticed since getting into .net is that may asp/aspx sites have nice buttons e.g.




and there are others, they are just better than the standard ones most sites use.

Is it a thing in asp/aspx or is it just that these designers spend more times on the buttons than other developers?

I guess what i am asking is...is there something in web matrix or vistual studio that gives pretty buttons

as far as I know, nope. but on the other hand, I rarely use the
built-in stuff so it's quite probable that you get "image gallery"
along with the full .NET SDK which also contains lots of code
samples and fully working demo applications.

bottom line, look in the .NET folders especially the samples, not in
the Studio/Web Matrix.

ok thanks shadow, sorry stupid question but where do i find the .net folders?

The top one is from play.com, isn't it? What's the second one?
Amazon?

Anyway, the gfx has absolutely nothing to to with the code used
in the site - they are just images the deisgners have come up with.

yes the first is from play, no the second is not from amazon, it was from monster.co.uk.

I know it has nothing to do with the code, what i was wondering was if the visual studio package or similar had a graphics lib with it as i tend to see these good buttons on asp/aspx sites more than on php ones !!

yes indeed..i saw that "go"\button on the monsterboard site

I don't have the full SDK here yet (new comp you know ) but it should be somewhere
along with the .NET stuff in the Program Files or Windows folders.
worst case, search for *.jpg/*.gif in those root folders.
