Because everything looks so similiar in layout and everything. Or maybe it's just a widely used forum format?

No it's not.

They use a version of vbulletin which is used by these forums, hence why they look familiar.

The only affiliated forums to this site I know are on the upper right hand
corner of this page under the forums drop down.

probably because the word "access" appears in the domain
itself, plus it probably have lots of threads related to Access
with links from all over.

it's the same here with ASP and free: search for anything on
your mind plus the word "ASP" and "free" and you'll find this
forum on the top results.
