how can i partition a hard drive without deleting windows xp
i have a 80 gig hard drive
i want to partion it because i want linux

You can obtain partition magic which is probably the easiest (not free though).

You know you think people would understand that most of the people responding to questions on forums like this make a living by writing code. It's really poor form to turn around and throw it in our faces that you are stealing from people like us, who code for a living. Granted the programers at the large companies may not see continued income from sales of a specific problem, but it just makes sense that those of us who write software don't appreciate piracy.

Shame Shame, his freeware version of partition magic is probably full of spyware or some other type of who knows what that will allow someone to take over his computer. All in the name of FREE.

anyway
i partitioned my hard drive
i have knoppix
which is a version of linux
like red hat
i didnt install it into my hard drive yet though
and i got no bugs from downloading it for free
when you downloading it your r getting ut from someone elses computer that has that file or program
