Photo Gallery scripts
Does anyone know of really cool, visually pleasing photo gallery software? I use emalbum right now and it works well and all but it lacks a visual appeal. I'm going to use this to show off woodwork pieces that my uncle has made.

You're asking this in a web development forum? The answer you will probably get is, make your own.
That's what I'd do, and I think most everyone else here would as well. Not sure how much of a geek you are, but those are the sort of things we like to do. ![]() Hmm, reading your question again, do you mean like a photo gallery website or just software for printing out the pictures? BTW, I also do woodworking as well so my eyes don't go too square in front of the computer ![]() |

It's a matter of reinventing the wheel. When asked what the best web browser is you don't reply to make your own. If one out there is good then that's what I'm looking for. Am I going to put in the time for the fancy stuff like slideshows. No. emAlbum is great software but its support for IIS servers always results in the author having to develop a hack to deal with Windows flaws. That gets annoying. I want someone to have dealt with the multitude of windows flaws the first time.
This is a for a photo gallery for a website, not printing software. |

Don't mean to sound sour. I've asked for help in a couple of posts recently and all i've gotten are URLs for places where I might be able to find a solution. Those are obviously the first places I look since waiting for replies can take a while. I was hoping to take advantage of the vast experiences of the members of the forum and get some specific feedback.

The specific feedback you will get in a forum like this one is to write your own. And you will get lots of help when asking questions about that! Where you are not asking for that sort of advice, we will try and point you at a resource that may be useful.

I moderate these forums. I know how it goes. I was hoping someone had specific experiences with portfolio scripts. I'll just keep on looking. Thanks to all.
