i always wondered why its called common sense??

Not very often I would agree with Doug but it has to be said that this is a technology forum.... not exactly the most obvious place for such a discussion.

There tends to be plenty of arguments on here without religion being brought into the fray.

on this one, I disagree. we have special forum here and I tend to believe
we can maintain polite discussion over anything.
however, I really prefer to avoid testing my belief so if this thread
grow too hot I'll close it - hope all of you can understand, and be warned.

anyway.... in the spirit of just friendly discussion: I'm jewish. I was born
like that and have no intention to change it. I learned the Torah, also
known as the Old Bible in school and believe it's not "just another book".
Personally, I don't follow the Bible commandments and not really believe
in God in the religious way - however I do believe in keeping the moral
values and if religion help keeping them, I won't stop it.
Also, during my life I learned to know more religions and came to respect
all of them. there's no such thing "bad religion" or "evil religion". there are
bad and evil ways to use and manipulate religion for personal power.

those are my opinions. hope we can all manage the friendly spirit, it can
be really nice.

That is harsh but then again just the opinon of the author, Nothing is there to say they are correct. They can have their opinion and we can have ours and we have to accept that!

I agree with leuvenaar.

luckily enough, we don't have someone like Sep over here.....
but indeed I came to understand this thread will most probably
lead to things we better avoid. sorry, but it's not in my control.
