Yes I did.
The guests paid $30.
The receptionist gave the bellhop $5.
(Receptionist has $25 Bellhop has $5 Total = $30)
Bellhop gives guests $3
(Receptionist has $25 Bellhop has $2 Guests have $3 Total = 30)
The secret is that the guests DIDN'T PAY $9 EACH, they PAID $25 BETWEEN THEM. The bellhop stole $2 and they got $3 back.
Look at it another way...
They are each $9 down which is $27. They got $3 back
There is no missing dollar
Or another way....
The $27 is the $25 the receptionist has + the $2 the Bellhop stole
The $3 is what they got back
There is no missing dollar
