SEO - is it better to have text in files rather than text in a db?
hey all,
Been googling and haven't come accross much. What i am wondering is. The text in databases, is that picked up by search engines, i.e. on forums and online shops etc? Or should for example on an online shop i write the prod description to a file and link to it??? Would prob slow it down a bit but just wondering !! Any thoughts, advice or links would be appreciated. Cheers, RF

SEs don't know what's going on on the server, they see exactly
what you see in your browser; so it doesn't really matter how you do the work on the server, as long as the HTML you create is clean/optimised. Look at this forum... ![]()

If you want to see it like a spider (or so I have been told ) you need
to use a text only browser, or turn off images, css, flash, frames and so on. This may now be out of date though?? |
