Talking server hardware: chassis/bezel intrusion

Hi, I know this isn't really the site for this kind of question but someone might have a clue...

I have a Dell Poweredge server and any time it's rebooted, an error comes up in the event log saying that there has been an intrusion:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Server Administrator
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1254
Description:
Chassis intrusion detected
Sensor location: Bezel Intrusion
Chassis location: Main System Chassis
Previous state was: OK (Normal)
Chassis intrusion state: Open

First up, I'm not too sure what the 'Bezel' is (never associated with hardware before), and then how could there have been an intrusion? It's only a couple of months old and this has been coming up for all except the first week of operation. The only fiddling that has been done since build was swapping network cables at the back. Lastly, how can I clear the error?

Probably going to end up ringing Dell about this one, but want to know if there's anything I can check first.

I think your dell is trying to tell you that the case has been opened....
The bezel would be the front try snapping it back in or somthing like that... make sure everything is closed..... you should be able to reset the alarm in the bios....
I opened the cover of my dell server and it started complaining the the cover was removed...:-)

You can reset this in the BIOS, enter setup after you close the box back up.

I have a Dell laptop that gives me this message every half hour! I sits in a docking station and is certainly never opened. What's going on? Running XP Professional on a LAN. The warniings only occur while the computer is ctrl-alt-del locked.

The bezel is that bit that clips on the front.

Question adjusted "bezel" priority...

i'm not seeing anything log'd as a system event, but dell it. assistant is reporting the "bezel intrusion" (someone peeked)... does anyone know how to tweak it. assistant so the alert is informational vs. critical?
