GREECE_ (continue)
Events:
In Greece contucted the olympics 2004 and the special olympics of course.
Also Greece took the european championship on football at 2004
and won in the eurovision contest 2005 with a really silly song, but all songs in eurovision are silly..

yea it is a euro thing.

basically new (usually crap) bands play a song and the rest of the euro countries vote for the countries they thing is the best !

wow that was lots of information Rider... will have to construct proper answer soon and compare our places.
as for the Eurovision, our song was expected for the 10th place at best, but surprised everyone by taking the 4th place - Israel also took the 1st place not long ago, when female singer who used to be male charmed everyone with song named Diva... that song is even among the 10 best-of-all-times! (contest in November, I think)

actually, we have very popular singer here who sing mainly greek songs - Shlomi Saranga and also greek songs are quite popular here.

Leonard Cohen is famous... I have all(I think) his CD's... Many nights keeps me company
I listen to greek music but not the popular one..
