some words about your country...

It would be nice to learn from each of us the culture, entertainment, food, clothes, music, consuetude, mores and whatever everyone think that characterize his/her country..

not really.... why won't you start by telling us about your place? we just need someone to start.

You can't really have 'words about my country', it doesn't work,
as most places are so diverse. Maybe change it to 'words about
my home town' or 'where I live now' might be better...

You are right... Greece is a small country, you can describe it general... but there are and bigger countries...

So..some words about your town(can't change the title)

my town (well it is a village really), i will get the ball rolling for you Dragon Rider (even though you asked Wizi to ban me in the Word *** thread .....)

my town is rather small, not sure how many people but most of them are old to be honest.

There is a busy highstreet with too many cars and lorries passing through. But still it is my home and i like it

well that it is a start....maybe i will post more later if people want and give some ideas....

I live a Durbanville a Suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. Cape Town is located
at the Southern Point of South Africa.

We have ppl from all races and religiouns here, and the ppl are very laid back...I wish you could see
me sitting in my chair at the mo South Africans are very friendly ppl, but as always
you get the ppl that are just out to kick your ***

We have beautifull beaches, and this is what I look at while I am surfing, for those

Our best delicacy is biltong if you ask me, its almost like beef jurkey for the US, I think,
I might be horribly wrong, but biltong is damn good

We have slow internet connections, and even the ADSL Lines are sh(tty, its says
512KBP/s on the account, but they are lying

A lot of ppl think there are lions and elephants roaming the streets, this is not true Sure there are a lot of parks to view these animals, but they do not
cause havoc in the streets, the traffic does that

yes, i was aware it was a joke at least i hoped it was!!

my country is considered special because of many reasons... for one, it has great history behind it, going over 3,000 years to the past. second, although it's very small it's causing lots of noise all over the world - big mighty USA show great interest here and I'm not quite sure why..... but of course it's off topic here. third is the fact we're the only home for the jewish ppl. and of course, we have special foods that you won't find elsewhere, or if you find it's originated here. for example Humus, or Falafel.

my town? well, no town. I live in small village (about 200 ppl) which is very quiet - nothing special there. it's pretty close to Tel Aviv (our main city) but I don't like that city - too... noisy for me.

When I was in Israel I passed through Drax, which is....nowhere near....

Ah well...
