Silverlight is great!
http://silverlight.net/ Anyone played with it? What do you guys think? How does it compare to Flash development? Jo.

looks promising, but being brand new (and made by Microsoft) I would
rather wait before using this to develop my application - same case like with Vista. once the first wave of bugs is fixed and when there will be solid support, it would probably be great way to develop web applications. ![]() |

I agree, it does look promising...but will this be another Microsoft takeover or will it be like Vince McMahon trying to create a new football leauge?

Silverlight is an add-on to the .Net framework, which has been successfully built upon for 7 years now. I think that it will definately proof successfull over time... - how long I can't tell.. The flash developers in our company are allready getting nervous that they might be put out of their jobs with this technology... ![]() |

lol poor them Part of the .Net framework, eh? I'm a new .Net developer (finally took the time to learn it), so maybe I will check into this further. I couldn't really get into Flash development...proved to be too troublesome for me. |

I like what you can do with it
![]() But use it right now? Nah I rather wait for the final release version. Why? Because MS tends to change how they do things from Beta to Final release. I've had somewhat of a bad experience with Atlas -- I had to fix some pages which used the old Atlas to make them work in the Ajax version. So no more playing for me until it's final release
