The Legend of B-Con (3 Word Story!)
It's recommended that you use Firefox and you set your font size appropriate to your likings
![]() http://killall.no-ip.org/legend/ I made a Perl program to get the words: http://killall.no-ip.org/legend/comword.pl I formatted about 5 paragraphs. I'm thinking about having a starting page to configure the font face, font size, scroll speed, and view size. Be sure to post any problems and suggestions :] |

Some parts of the story get a little confusing, perhaps we can have a `Director's cut` version lol. I'm hoping to enhance the current one, because the speed of the scroll might be too fast or too slow, and the font size is important too.
I'll think about the Word Association, I've been thinking of some good ideas about how to extract the words as carefully as possible. As far as displaying the words, I was thinking about the words appearing in random places on the screen with random font sizes and random colors. Does anyone have any other ideas? |

Version 2!! hehehe
http://killall.no-ip.org/legend2/ I've been loving this topic dearly: http://forums.aspfree.com/t85624/s.html It motivated me to make the story into a cool website layout that Black&White created! Chief and I helped out, and I think it would be cool to set it as the layout for The Legend of B-Con. So far we have the first two chapters |

perfect Corey... now for my tips:
1. have the html hold pure data. move the CSS to external css file and include it. 2. wrap each paragraph with <p> and </p> tags, which you can style to have the proper margin. 3. instead of <br /><br /><hr /><br /><br /> have only <hr /> and use CSS to give it proper margin height. also, remove the blank lines from the html source, and you'll get compact html with minimal size. ![]() |

Alright! Here are the size improvements (I was pretty surprised):
main.css: 1548 bytes => 1274 bytes. ~16% decrease mainpage.html: 4874 bytes => 3891 bytes. ~20% decrease Very nice ![]() |

pefect.... now compile the whole story - shouldn't be too much
trouble, as you have automatic script right? ![]() |

Well yeah, but I think there should be an image for each chapter, and I have to manually do the paragraph splicing, then I have to make the parser convert the first letter of each paragraph to one of the images, and then I want to manually slice the big chunks into chapters that have special names. I can't do this, I can't do this, I ca --*SW slaps Corey*. lol
