I never believed it can happen.
Until not long ago, many of the games I played (both PC and PS) were nice. Some were better than the others. Some were very good and some were great games. But in every game there were some little (or not so little) things that I didn't like. Until I played this game: ![]() In the beginning it was very weird as the game has unique style and unique interface. However, every passing day I came to like it more and more. The graphics is... different.. but brilliant. There is no speech. Only strange mumbles. But each and every character/monster has its own unique mumble and somehow they made it sound cool. The "heart" of the game is the brush. To perform something, you're using brush to draw something. Starting in drawing simple circle to make the sun appear and turn the night into day, and ending in complicated brush abilities that aid you in battle, for example drawing bomb that hit your enemies. This whole concept in very unique and the most brilliant idea I've seen in my life. Music is great as well, although I played over 70 hours, the music was never boring. Story: perfect. Complicated. Sad. Revealed over time, part after part. Lots of surprises all way long. Not like the usual "one hero that save the world" type of story. Duration: the longest game I've seen. over 70 hours of real game play and I could have spent much much more without complaining. No boring minute, always new stuff to do and find. Complexity: Well, for others it can be too easy. However I don't like hard game with too many puzzles. There are tons of puzzles but none is really difficult, so for me it's heaven. Battle System: Perfect+. You can choose weapon, each working differently. Battle is very flowing, monsters are sometimes very nasty but even so, it's very hard to die. There are tons of monsters, never the same. There are lots of "bosses" as well, each can be defeated only be special brush work. And of course, the drawing technique make the battles really exciting and give you countless options. There are dozens of side quests and hundreds of hidden stuff. All in all, perfect game - and I can't stand showing off a little: ![]() edit: oh, and the game's ending... one HUGE battle against "final boss" - over one hour of hard core fight. exciting ending story, and long ending scene. did I say perfect? edit2: oh, and the game is funny, most of the time: the wolf (who is actually the Sun God of the world) has bouncing companion who is vulgar and like hot chicks! ![]() Last edited by Shadow Wizard : July 19th, 2007 at 02:24 AM. |

I just might do that...I'm still in college so my time goes away real quick, but wouldn't be too bad to play every now and then on the weekends ![]() |
