Turn Away from Pornography
Jesus said: "What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?"
The bible also says that the sins of the flesh is death. Come to Jesus and His Church. www.catholic.com Luke 17:1-2: He said to his disciples, "Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur. It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin." Jesus is kind and merciful. Change your ways. He forgives us. There are legitimate ways to make a living besides leading other into temptation. There are many legitimate products and services that you can sell on the web. |

I agree with the bulk of what SwEng says but imo Doug is right that it is spam because it doesn't look like the op is going to be a part of the forum! If it was one of the regulars starting the thread it wouldn't be spam
just my 0.02£ ![]() Maybe we could have a discussion ... or maybe we just close it ! ![]()

Religious spam is the worst kind, because the spammer believes he or she is Right to spam. Bah.

Isn't this rather one sided? Not from a "do what we say because we are Catholic and right" point of view, but that it only references one Religion? Surely a constructive arguement about pornography would have all p.o.v's?
I have always stood by the opinion that in order to sucessfully 'win' an arguement that everyones views must be considered, and then arguements against them should be placed. To quote an old saying 'know thy enemy' Still I think it should be closed as it could become a rather nasty debate. |

And there are legitimate reasons for starting a thread in an online forum, and I wouldn't think spamming religious content would be one of them.... On a side note, if it weren't for the "sins of the flesh" none of us would be here! And...have you ever heard of the term called "Free Will" it's very high in the religious sector...it denotes that everyone has the right to make their own decision, even about pornography. |

Its all morals and tbh those that preach moral rights sometimes themselves aint whiter then white - we all know of awful stories that have tainted the church or chapel down the years and yet these were the moral and ethical forefigures in our community who lambasted us all for having sinned.
Personally, its kinda hard trying to reinforce 2000 + year old beliefs in modern society - the church and religions all over the world need to bend (become double-jointed in some cases) and try to fit into the 21st century. There are various levels of porn and like everything in life some levels are for the hardcore enthusiasts who are thankfully in the minority. I mean they are even talking about handing condoms to Primary School kids in this country - 11 and under. Now that too me is highbrow and tearing at the fabric of childhood. Like I said there are many levels of porn and discussing sex-ed (to this degree) to pre-teens borders on perversion -- and that's from those that govern our land. The mind beggars. and adult people here capable of staying calm - and I doubt Sw_Eng will return so we're rather safe. I believe in Free Will, and every human being has the right of choosing his/her life style. As long as this life style does not actively cause harm, it's legitimate. Same in this case.. nobody is harmed and those who are against "sins of the flesh" can simply turn away and live their own life. |

A semi-famous US porn star pretty much summed up my views when she said something to the effect of "why is a movie showing a man kissing a woman's breast rated X, while a movie showing a man cutting off a woman's breast is rated R?"
