Updating MySQL while still retaining read/write.
Hey guys was wondering if anyone knew of a concrete tried and tested way of updating - or an application which I could source/buy - that allows read/write while performing an update without much/any lag time.

The problem I have is that over 250,000 records need to be updated and the update must be done in a live environment. Database being used is MySQL 4 and the Server is Windows 2003.
