What do you make of the Mac adverts?

Hi Guys,

What does everyone think of the Mac Adverts?
Link (www.apple.com/getamac/ads/)

Personally I find them quite funny and witty, but at the same time they p*ss me off and make me quite angry at Macs for trying to degrade Windows. They state that Macs can be used to do everything that a Windows PC can... which is a load of crap. When was the last time you saw an iMac being used as a web-server in a datacenter? Never! No matter what they say about Windows, computers would not be where they were today without it.

There's this one advert that annoys me the most because it is totally hypocritical. Look at the advert called 'Sabotage' on the page that I linked to above. The sketch basically implies that Microsoft tries to sabotage Mac software/campaigns. I'm not exactly 'Mr. Current Affairs', but Microsoft has never done this have they? And Mac sure as hell is doing everything they can to slander Windows, which classes as sabotage in my books.

If Windows is so ‘rubbish’, then why the hell is it so damn popular? To me Apple’s current advertising campaigns make them appear to be quite desperate to gain popularity.

Comments welcome, enlighten me

Microsoft is popular because of its aggressive marketing methods.
Their initial success was pure luck. they climbed one step after
the other, climbing very carefully and with zero risks.

once their position has been secured, they either bought or
crashed any potential rival.

When improving their products, Microsoft never take the risk
of developing something new, they prefer to take the safe way
of implementing familiar stuff within their own products.

if possible, they buy whoever made this familiar thing first and
if not possible, they put exact copy.

all the above is how I see things, not solid truth so please don't
ask for evidence, as there's no evidence for personal view.

as result of their aggressive marketing, many smaller companies
who refuse to become part of Microsoft, or don't get such chance,
fall and shatter to pieces.

another effect of this behavior is lot of "enemies" and people
who hate Microsoft for being bully.

however, this bully made huge change in the world.
same way that war usually bring advance, Microsoft caused the
computer technology to leap many steps ahead.

there are casualties, however they don't "die" for nothing.

bottom line, my opinion is that while I think Microsoft is aggressive
and make immoral actions often, their existence is good to the
computer world as whole.
