What Happened to Web Standards Man?

Did WSM change his username? It used to be 1337_d00d, or something like that. Is it Phoenix now? Why the alterego?

PS - I miss those zany adventure stories!

He had his nick changed to phoenix when he was un-banned...

Ok, that's what I kind of figured. I guess I missed the whole banning incident.

Wow! Where was I?!!??! 11?! It looks like that incident worked itself out though...a credit to all involved. Thanks for the "heads up" Chief!

lol, that was huge mess. let's just say, it involve the arrival of all the devshedderians.
very short version:
WSM was harsh towards certain ppl, no doubt about it. he fought for web standards, and fought well and bravely. however, this hurt newbies which just wanted help with something else - so they reported him over and over. this resulted in Warning.
however, then he decided to argue with the one member he should not argue with - Memnoch. I don't have the details, they argued mainly in private messages and over MSN but final result was that Memnoch got really mad at him, so mad he left aspfree forums, banning WSM on his way out.... you can imagine the fuss it created, as Memnoch is undoubtedly the most valued member here. desperate calls for his return were made, we moderators argued whether to give WSM second chance or not and all this was tracked at devshed as well, bringing in curious devshedderians.
anyhow, after couple of weeks (or was it whole month?) the WSM got second chance and asked to be renamed so he can open new blank page here, and shortly afterwards Memnoch returned.

ya, its all well that ends well!
they lived happily after ....away from each other!!

I'm glad to have both around still. They have both been big helps to me in various circumstances in the past. Yay for Memnoch and the poster formally know as 133t_d00d!
