really, first he must define the term in relation to people before asking such question.
otherwise it's trap question with no correct answer!

so this brings me to define human multi-tasking...
1. the human brain act like computer CPU - one central processing unit, which can
process one program (aka desire/thought) at any given moment.
2. unlike computer, human brain can't put process in the
background as-is and get back to it later to continue from the
same spot. also, no page faults.
3. this lead to the sad conclusion, that humans are technically not capable of multi tasking.

so, what about alternative? something only similar?
well, I would go with this definition:
"The ability to learn wide range of topics and have good grasp of all of them. The
ability to widen your horizons constantly and never lock your mind on one path. multi
tasking - having multiply ways to solve one problem, from different points of view."

and when asked now, my answer would be: "yes Sir, I am capable of that."

I will keep that idea in mind when I have an interview!
