In any event... I've found most of those FFs I've played that were ports from japanese systems are a bit better in epic storytelling (which is probably why I like the games so much). Plus, the crudely translated dialogue is worth a real laugh - all your base are belong to us style.

Curses! caught me on that one, lol. I should have known better.
They definitely have this story telling ability that really blows my mind sometimes. The ins and outs of the relationships. Each game becomes this deeply enthralling movie of sorts that while your so eager too see the end, you also don't want to see it.
I think the one case where perhaps it was dragged out a little to far was FF2us (FFIV) wherein they brought in moon bases, giant robots and everything. It got a little ridiculous actually seeing as everything else was medieval style.

agreed. For taht matter, I don't like when they have guns as weapons (which has happened as of late).

It just seems out of place. For example: I absolutely LOVED FFX2, but I couldn't get over the Gun modes (dresses or whatever).

In fact, if you haven't gotten FFX2, I highly recommend it - it's not as cheesy as it looks (the whole girly theme).

Should I give my two weeks now, or just let them figure it out for themselves?

Let em figure it out - use those vacation days my man! What else are they for other than screwing around on some videogame.

Plus, and it's sad to say this, but I found the FFX2 girls all very attractive... and I'm not one to say that about freaking CG characters. It's sad but true - they're hot. So it's a double bonus - good RPG and cute video game characters.

I'm losing life rep by posting this aren't I? Wsell - no reason to lie about it

Oh well... i'm sure i'll say something snappy later and gain em back. However, if I keep this talk up, not even snappiest comment w/bandwagon could save me

Cody - do you mean to tell me you are on Win98SE with a dialup connection? What are your computer specs? Are you still wearing MC Hammer pants, hypercolor, and writing code to fix the 2000 bug as well?

Yeah my APUSH teacher got mad at me today. One of his Mac's case was falling off and I told him "another fine product of apple"
