To be honest, I am stuck with Classic ASP, but I am slowly making the switch to ASP.Net, I am also programming windows based applications with VB.Net.

Just getting into c# - for writing windows apps and what I have seen, I like a lot. Maybe when I have done more with it I'll find the stuff I don't like and have to change my vote. I must remember to post like this more often. It is easier to read. |

Where's the java? All our assignments are done in java... the move to c++ will probably only happen this year, so I can't give an educated opinion.
However, between asp and php I kind of like php better because of it's syntax. I think it feels more like a programming language... I always forget "then" and have the tendency to add brackets when I program in ASP... so I vote PHP. |

C# all the way. it combine the advantages of Java regarding easy coding, huge library of ready code and effective garbage collection - you program in the "Create And Forget" method i.e. creating as much objects as you want and never having to worry about deleting/freeing them from the memory as you have to do in C/C++ languages.
classic ASP will always have its place of honor, but with all due respect ASP.NET with C# beats it easily. |
