What type of printer is better for photos?

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of buying a printer. I was just wondering which type is better for photos, is it inkjet or laser?

Cheers!

It all depends on how much you want to spend I think... A thermal printer is IDEAL but is very pricey!

I have had inkjet printers (epsons, hp's, lexmark's and canon's). The best quality I've ever gotten was from my epson.

I would say a laser printer is always better, regardless if it's for photos or text. Laser printers just print better than inkjets.

lasers are better but they cost more! That is always the way

Depending on how many photos you want to print take a look at printers that are designed just for printing photos, eg the canon selphy. I got one for my mum and the quality is excellent. But if you are printing a lot of photos it won't be cost effective and only prints one size.

I used to use my epson photo 895 which printed great quality but now i just get them printed online, there are loads of places that are fairly cheap and there are often free deals for new customers so i work my way round those too and get free prints

just my 0.02£ worth
