Who is your favorite character? (Final Fantasy VIII and more!)

The best game I've played so far is no doubt Final Fantasy VIII - perfect combination of action, strategy and story.
so, it's probably worth mentioning here, as well as discussing it.

Those who are familiar with the game, please choose your favorite character - and explain of course.

For those who are not familiar with FF8 - feel free to discuss any other FF game or games like Legends of Zelda and Chrono Cross. which you liked the most? which left deep impression?

I liked Quistis Trepe, why?
Because she is hot, and I like her wip

I'm all for Squall, of course. apart of being the hero who save the world/univerce, I admire his calmness (nothing can really irritate him!!) and of course his GunBlade which is the wet dream of any decent fighter...
also, the GF system in the game is just genius, and very flexible. another great bonus in the game is the Triple Triad Cards - I continued to play this online long after I've finished the game itself!

yeah, Quistis is pretty hot - and she has big crash for poor Squall!!

Shadow, I agree with you, FF8 was one of the best games I have ever played, it has HOURS of enjoyment, without getting boring

why didn't you vote?? there is option for every character, I belive.

hehe, it takes days to finished, but the total gameplay hours is what I meant, even though its enough hours to make a couple of days

well, I played for at least 3 months.... every day about 2 hours average. quick math... 180 hours! of course many hours were dedicated for the Chocobo World (another great bonus!!) and for the Cards game.

Squall was awesome, he won me over with the duel in the opening cg movie, however I never finished FF8 :S

My favourite has to be ff6 and ff7 in that order.

And speaking of Zelda:

I loved windwaker even though people thought it was too cartoony. I think Miyamoto is a genius so I gave him a chance with this gamble he took and I think he pulled it off quite nicely. Because of this I think he has an innovative Zelda on his hand. I can't wait until Twilight Princess comes out in october.

I bought Minish Cap about two weeks ago, and I loved it as well. The game had the Link Awakening (probably the best title in the series) feel to it and it had new tools so the puzzles were different from the generic ones that you'll find in all the games. So thumbs++ for Minish Cap.

I LOVE Chrono Trigger but I was disapoitned with Chrono Cross. Maybe I was hoping too much for a direct sequel and not able to play with my good friend Frog... it broke my heart!

I haven't played a FF game.... ever!
