Your opinion pleeze
I was wondering if it would be necessary to get a user to verify there email address, when it comes to registering with an ecommerce store??? !!!!
is this one step 2 many on the first checkout process ???? in worst case. they add to cart have to register have to confirm registration continue checkout register with paypal (worst case scenario) then come back to store. now this is what 10 mins max, but would you stand and wait at a till for 10 mins ??????? especially if you knew you needed have to wait anymore, when you went back to the store/ if go back to the store. thanks guys |

Email verification is used in site like this - to activate your account.
In the case of ecommerce people tend to give an accurate email address anyway - they want to recieve confirmation of their order, notification of shipping and so on. I don't remember having to do so on e-shops such as amazon, dabs and so on |
